Agrofruit contributes to Guatemala's Food and Nutritional Security and the Attainment of the Millennium Development Goals.
1. Better Families ProgramThis program is focused on teaching mothers in communities on how to improve health, nutrition and standards of living in their household.
Among its objectives are the reduction of malnutrition and child and infant mortality, the improvement of school performance and the increased productivity and development of the community.
Approximately 19,000 people are benefited from the program.
Direct beneficiaries:
10 rural communities
Over 60 guide mothers
750 participant mothers

2. Human Development Center Project
We partnered with University of Colorado to provide opportunities for integral development of individuals, families and poor communities located in the Pacific South-West of Guatemala.
The Human development center will have research, academic, medical, recreational and sports facilities for inhabitants of the communities.
The facilities will include a daycare center for working mothers and a multi-purpose auditorium.
